Speaker labels

The team behind WhisperAI
How it started
Eman Khoubian founded WhisperAI in 2025 and built the first version using AI development tools rather than a traditional engineering team. That unconventional path has since been featured by Inc., presented at Stripe Sessions 2026, and covered by Leaders Perception.
Today, Eman remains closely involved in product, growth, and company strategy.
Why we built it
WhisperAI started with a simple frustration: transcription software often came with restrictive minute limits, usage-based pricing, or meeting bots that had to join every call.
We wanted to build something simpler—a single speech-to-text platform where people could record meetings, upload audio or video, dictate, and turn spoken content into searchable, editable, and exportable transcripts without stitching together multiple tools.
That idea has grown into a platform used by more than 330,000 professionals. By the time Business Insider covered the launch of the WhisperAI API, the platform had expanded well beyond transcription into meeting recording, AI summaries, translation, Cloud Sync, and developer infrastructure.

How WhisperAI works
Getting started
WhisperAI is fully self-serve. Create an account with email, Google, or Microsoft and start with the Free plan—no credit card required.
Paid plans can be upgraded, managed, or cancelled directly from account settings. Depending on the plan, billing is available weekly, monthly, or annually, and paid access continues through the end of the current billing period after cancellation.
Support
Support is available by email at support@whisperai.com and through the Help Center. We typically respond within one business day.
Because WhisperAI is founder-led, customer feedback reaches the same team building and improving the product.
Turnaround
Most uploaded audio and video files are transcribed within minutes, depending on file length and complexity. Live recordings are transcribed in real time, while Cloud Sync can automatically process new files added to connected cloud storage folders.
Enterprise workspaces include additional collaboration and administrative features such as multiple seats, user roles, audit logs, and a downloadable Data Processing Agreement. Formal service-level agreements are not currently included by default.
